The Desert Is the Whole Problem

An outdoor TV in Las Vegas is not an indoor install moved outside. Three things out here decide whether a patio screen is still working in five years, and none of them are the mount you pick off a shelf: heat that collects under a covered patio well past what an indoor panel is rated for, fine dust that gets into vents whether or not it ever rains, and afternoon sun that will wash out a screen no matter how bright it is if the position is wrong.

So we plan an outdoor job in that order. Where does the sun actually fall at the hour you sit outside. What is genuinely structural behind the stucco. How does power get there in a way that is weather-rated rather than improvised. Where does the cable run so it reads as part of the patio instead of an afterthought taped to a column. The mount is the easy part once those four answers are settled.

The valley is not uniform either. A west-facing Summerlin patio has a glare problem an east-facing Henderson patio does not. An exposed lot in Skye Canyon or a hillside terrace in Anthem takes wind that a walled Green Valley backyard never sees. A condo patio in Spring Valley has rules attached that a detached home does not. Pick your area below and you will get the version of this that applies to your backyard.

What an Outdoor Install Includes

Covered Patio, Pergola & Gazebo Mounts

Anchored into the structure that is actually holding the roof up, not into a shade panel or a decorative wrap.

Weather-Rated Mounts & Rust-Resistant Hardware

Stainless or hot-dip galvanized fasteners and outdoor-rated mounts, so nothing seizes or streaks rust down light stucco after two Las Vegas summers.

Sun-Glare Positioning

The screen placed for the hours you actually sit outside, not squared to the nearest wall — often the single biggest factor in whether an outdoor TV is watchable.

Stucco & Masonry Anchoring

Masonry bits at the right speed, anchors landing in solid block rather than a mortar joint or the stucco skin, and a mount rated for the full weight of the screen.

Exterior Cable Concealment

Power and signal run in exterior-rated conduit or paintable raceway along soffit and column lines, terminated at a weather-rated box.

Articulating & Tilt Mounts

Full-motion arms for backyards where the pool, the seating, and the grill are in three different places — with lock-down rated for wind.

What moves an outdoor job above it is specific and we will tell you which applies before you book: screen size, the length of the power and signal run, what the anchor point turns out to be, whether cable gets concealed in exterior conduit, mount style, and whether outdoor sound goes in at the same visit. Text a photo of the patio and you will get your actual number.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an outdoor-rated TV, or can I mount an indoor one on my patio?

For a screen that lasts, an outdoor-rated TV. Indoor panels are not built for the heat that collects under a covered patio in a Las Vegas July, dust reaches the vents whether or not rain does, and mounting an indoor set outside voids most manufacturer warranties. We will tell you honestly which category your plan falls into before we install anything.

Where should an outdoor TV go so it is actually watchable?

Under cover, out of direct sun at the hours you use the patio, and angled toward where people actually sit rather than squared to the nearest wall. Sun glare is the most common reason an outdoor TV disappoints, and it is a positioning problem far more often than a brightness problem. We plan the location around the sun first.

Can you mount to stucco, block, or a patio column?

Yes. Almost every patio wall and column in the valley is stucco over CMU block, which holds an anchor extremely well when the anchor lands in solid block rather than a mortar joint or the stucco skin alone. We drill at masonry speed with the right bit and use hardware rated for the full weight of the screen and mount.

What about Alumawood, lattice, or an added-on patio cover?

Those are shade structures, not mounting surfaces, and a TV plus mount is real weight in a spot where wind gets at it. We anchor to the house wall or to a verified structural post underneath the cover instead — which is stronger anyway — and we say so plainly rather than hanging a screen off something that will not hold it.

Can the cable be hidden on an outdoor install?

Yes, within what masonry allows. Power and signal run in exterior-rated conduit or paintable raceway routed along soffit lines, column edges, and existing reveals so it reads as part of the structure, terminating at a weather-rated exterior box rather than a plug hanging off a wall.

Does the hardware rust in the desert?

Standard zinc hardware does, and it streaks down light stucco within a couple of summers. Every outdoor install we do uses stainless or hot-dip galvanized fasteners and a weather-rated mount, which is the difference between a clean wall in five years and a rust stain under every bolt.

How much does outdoor TV installation cost in Las Vegas?

Outdoor installs start at $399. What moves a job above that is screen size, the length of the power and signal run, what the anchor point turns out to be, whether cable is concealed in exterior conduit, mount style, and whether outdoor audio goes in at the same visit. You get a specific flat-rate number before anything is scheduled.

Which parts of the valley do you cover for outdoor installs?

All of our service area: Summerlin, Henderson, Green Valley, Centennial Hills, Southern Highlands, Spring Valley and Enterprise, North Las Vegas, and Anthem and Seven Hills. Each of those has its own page with the wall types, wind exposure, and gate considerations specific to it.
